Robert Buckley is a prominent American actor who rose to fame through his role-playing as Kirby Atwood on the NBC dramedy series Lipstick Jungle, Major Lillywhite on The CW dramedy series iZombie, Brian Leonard on the ABC horror-drama series 666 Park Avenue, Clay Evans on The CW drama series One Tree Hill, and Evan Kincaid on the Hallmark Channel drama series Chesapeake Shores. Buckley has, however, been featured in many movies and films since his debut in 2006.

Buckley began his acting career in 2006 when he was featured in the MyNetworkTV primetime telenovela Fashion as a regular series and portrayed the role of Michael Bauer. After that, he also appeared in the horror movie released in February 2006 called When a Killer Calls. Robert eventually joined the MyNetworkTV telenovela, where he was also featured as a cast and played the role of Matthew Wakefield in American Heiress.

However, it was revealed in June 2009 that Robert had signed to play a lead role as a series regular on The CW’s teen drama series One Tree Hill. Moreover, he took on the role of sports agent Clay Evans and remained with One Tree Hill until the series ended in April 2012. It was announced in February 2010 that Buckkely would be running for the title role in Marvel’s Captain America. Unfortunately, the role ultimately went to  Chris Evans.

In addition to his acting career, Buckley, in 2015, started to star on The CW’s comedy-drama horror series iZombie, playing the role of Major Lilywhite. Besides that, he also made an appearance in June 2016 when he starred in the first episode of the Hulu anthology series Dimension 404, where he was featured alongside  Joel McHale and Lea Michele. On the other hand, in 2021, Buckley was also featured as a cast of the Hallmark Channel drama series Chesapeake Shores and played the role of Evan Kincaid.
